How your information is handled.
A plain-language summary of what BANK LIAISON collects and why. Last updated October 2026.
Who is responsible
BANK LIAISON is operated by Jan, who is the data controller for personal information collected through this website and decides how and why it is used.
What we collect
Account details (name, email, sign-in credentials), records of purchases, training activity such as completed lessons and downloads, messages you send us, and basic technical data such as IP address and device/browser information. Free checklist requests collect only your email.
Why we use it, and legal basis
To create your account and provide purchased training (performance of a contract); to keep the service secure and prevent fraud, and to improve it (legitimate interests); to respond to support requests (contract or legitimate interests); to send free resources or updates you ask for (consent, which you can withdraw anytime); and to meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.
Who we share it with
Service providers who host and run the website and email (acting on our instructions); Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, which handles the sale, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing under its own privacy notice; professional advisers such as legal or accounting; and authorities where required by law. We never receive your full card details.
How long we keep it
Account and training records are kept while your account is active. Purchase records are kept as long as needed for tax and accounting obligations. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections, access controls, and private storage for paid materials.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and run checkout. We do not use advertising cookies.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may request access to, correction, deletion, or export of your data, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. Send requests through the Contact page; we respond within one month.
